OPEN CALL FOR NEEDS

Are you a caregiver, a doctor, a therapist, a person with physical limitations or are you part of an association for the rights of people with disability? OpenDot launches the Open Call for Needs!

OpenDot is a Fab Lab based in Milan (Italy), dealing with social innovation by means of digital fabrication technologies. Within DDMP we choose to focus on Design for Care, design applied to the fields of health and care, because makers and designers can change lives!

With TOG Foundation – a centre for the rehabilitation of children with neurological diseases – we are gathering needs to be transformed into design challenges for the Health&Care Summer School, an intensive, very practical and free training course about co-designing solutions with meaningful impact.

We are asking people with disabilities, caregivers, families, doctors, therapists, and associations, to tell us your problems and needs!

Those can be faced personally or by friends, relatives, and patients in their daily activities such as dressing, eating or writing. Anyone can participate: it is not necessary to have scientific skills or knowledge but experience, that means to be an expert in a given need and want to share it.

Write us until 14 April via  this form (Italian).

If you need further information or you want to share your stories regarding needs with us, get in touch with Marta ([email protected]).

The Open Call for Needs aims to:

  •  understand which daily activities are the most challenging for people with disabilities;
  • identify the design challenges for the teams of people with disabilities, therapists, doctors, designers and makers during the Health&Care Summer School in June;
  • find people interested in being involved in co-designing during the Health&Care Summer School.

About Health&Care Summer School:
