About the project
Salto Dionys is a micro-craft enterprise set in Ljubljana, a small capital in the central Europe. It was founded by Rok Oblak, an award winning product designer and innovator with experiences in many fields of sustainable design production: wild clay, biomaterials, mycelium, paper pulp and local wood sources.
Like Dionysius, the ancient greek god of fruit and and festivity, but also theatre and madness, Salto Dionys stands for a fun and adventurous, sometimes acrobatic tableware design. One-off ceramic pieces and limited edition tableware collections are created with the help of custom made clay extruding machines and careful hand building methods.
