This journey begins with one question: what is happening to the plastic waste generated by me? I live in Pune, which produces over 60,000 tonnes of plastic waste annually. What becomes of that waste? Few NGOs are working towards up-cycling in Pune. I was curious about how the plastic waste is transported. Since plastic occupies a considerable amount of space, I discovered that the plastic waste transportation system is inefficient. To enhance its efficiency, I came up with the idea: what if we could reduce the volume of plastic waste using various techniques? One of the effective and safe methods was to utilise vacuum bags.
