MICROINMENSIDAD

Microinmensidad is a series of large-format photographs depicting landscape-like interventions created through chemical reactions between artistic materials, primarily pictorial, presented as the artwork’s subject rather than tools. The project explores abstraction, inviting viewers to perceive these images as recognisable environments—distant planetary surfaces, rugged rocks, icy caves, or vast deserts. This illusion is broken when the technique is revealed: the landscapes are composed of textures and chemical reactions. By transforming pictorial materials into the artistic object itself, the work challenges traditional artistic conventions and highlights the interplay between perception, abstraction, and artistic processes.
