About the project

Drifter Car is a modify electrical car. We divided the project in two parts: Arduino and Fablab. We start from a pre-existent car and we create a circuit with arduino (code and instruction below). The aim was replace the mechanical drive control with a touch display, realized with touch sensors usable with only one hand. The circuit is made of a part that concerns motors and the other that pertain the touch display, made of four arrows in copper scotch that correspond to the four possible direction. The car is also remote-controlled by a parental controller with an emergency stop botton. In the second part we modify a car seat in order to give more stability to the child. It is made by a depressor for the legs, and two lateral support for don’t let him fall foward. The back of the seat is lightly inclined for granted more security and comfort. We create with 3d printing a shell for the display and we secure into the car with an adjustable magic arm.
