About the project

WeBentWood lights are combining wood, textile and digital manufacturing tools, created by two Parisian architects.

Sacha Bitoun (on the left) studied Architecture in the Digital Knowledge department. Her creed: To manufacture first and foremost.

Inspired by her grandfather, an authentic cabinetmaker, Sacha always tries to find an interface between traditional craftsmanship and digital manufacturing. You guessed it, wood has always been her favourite material!

Louise Deguine (on the right) also studied architecture in Paris-Malaquais. Her interest in innovation and new technologies naturally led her to take an interest in digital manufacturing and the Fab Lab ecosystem.

Democratization sketches out a way of conceiving, as well as producing closer to the public, a principle Louise also wishes to apply in her work as an architect and designer.
