About the project

The projects are about repairing, being a circular strategy related to extending the life of garments. Repairing is deliberately left visible creating a total personalised style and becomes a clear statement.

We experimented with digital fabrication technologies, from making laser-cut stencils to having logos with a CNC digital embroidery machine, to applying text by heat printing.

Inspired by best practices of Fashion Revolution Germany, we used clothing to communicate topics, such as feminism, fast fashion, and current Gaza strip situation. Projects included:

  • repairing an denim jacket and turning it into a stylish feminist piece of garment, by engraving a women-image on the jacket back using the laser cutter, and making a stencil with the laser cutter;
  • repairing a jacket and turning it into a political piece of garment, applying the text “Stop genocide in Gaza” by heat printing;
  • printing Unsold logo using the CNC digital embroidery machine;
  • repairing an old T-shirt making a stencil and spraying the text.
