PROGRAM
27 January 2024: REPURPOSING AND UPCYCLING | Hands on denim
with Blue of a Kind – the Milanese brand that regenerates jeans and denim fabric deadstocks creating unique pieces, we will talk about upcycling and learn to disassemble a pair of jeans and manipulate its parts with different customization techniques and then reassemble it, giving it new life and prolonging its durability.
17 February 2024: TRANSFORMATIONAL DESIGN | Hands on modularity
Togehter with Linda Zamboni, designer and teacher of Sustainability in fashion and the artist Matija Cop who will talk about his creative research around modular design, we will talk about transformational design. Starting from the principle of tesselletion, we will then create modular elements and form flat surfaces or three-dimensional objects.
9 March 2024: ACTIVISM AND REPARABILITY | Hands on mending
Fashion Revolution – a global movement of fashion designers, academics, executives, brands, manufacturers, marketers, makers, citizens who want to revolutionise the fashion industry to benefit the environment and bring more value to people – will take us to understand how we can trigger change both culturally and by applying the concepts of reparability by design.
