About the project

The 100% Paper project was born out of a collaboration with a paper company in Strasbourg, Lana special papers. The objective of this collaboration was to rethink the use of their waste paper. Using the technical capabilities of paper fibers, the idea was to make furniture from pulp without any additions. The furniture is then infinitely recyclable, the paper pulp is re-worked, and all forms are possible thanks to the invention of a modular mold.

Beyond that, the project seeks to rethink the manufacture of the interior furniture that surrounds us:

  • in a local manufacturing process – applicable everywhere or waste of  mass paper exist,
  • in reproducibility by the simplicity of preparation of the raw material,
  • through transmission, and awareness of doing it yourself in a didactic way.

Currently, the prototypes produced offer the same resistance as that of wood and a variety of colors due to the varied waste of paper.
