About the project
The “pancake” is the center of attention, the feet want to serve it and not the other way around. In order not to remain confined to a particular deposit, the whole objective of participating in this bootcamp was to adapt this principle of legs to other shapes: circular, square, and rectangular.
In principle, the base consists of four parts which can be modulated parametrically, adapting in height and width. The major element is the central piece which positions the four legs at predefined angles depending on the shape of the table top. In compression, a strap keeps all the elements in place – requiring no unnecessary hardware.
Raising awareness of the issue of re-use, recycling, but also of “doing it yourself” are part of the objectives of the project. The fact of simplifying the principle to these three elements, to an assembly limited to a strap and being able to adapt it to any format of tray make the project an all-in-one kit easily shareable and to take in hand .
