About the project
Our projects are about testing modular design being a strategy that separates a product into smaller parts which can be used or be combined in either the same or a completely different product, giving new life to obsolete unwanted goods.
With the help of Linda Zamboni, we explored the use of different materials – felt, leather and technical material – and various techniques to create 3 prototypes, exploded mini bag in felt, interlocking pochette with technical fabric and flower leather bag. The process included:
- Making paper tiles as to design the interlocking techniques;
- Turning the tiles shapes into vectorial drawing;
- Using the laser cutting to produce the tiles and testing the interlocking;
- Assembling the structure.
