REPAIR & CIRCULAR ECONOMY

October & November 2022 will be all about repair & circular economy! Happylab Vienna is part of the re:pair Festival, which takes place from October 15th – the International Repair Day – to November 6th at the Folk Culture Museum and other venues throughout Vienna.

Makerspaces and fab labs are not just places where new things are created with the help of digital production technologies. Getting to the bottom of mistakes, fixing things and reusing recycled parts are also important parts of the Maker DNA!
As part of the re:pair Festival Vienna we will show how the tools and machines in Makerspaces and the bundled know-how of the Maker Community can help to repair or recycle objects – This can set everyday objects into a new context and makes us more aware of our resources.

REPAIR & RIDE – DIY FIX YOUR BIKE WORKSHOP

Repairing your own bike increases self-confidence in the saddle! In this workshop, together with the mechanic and bike shop owner Ana Powdrill the participants* will learn the basics of repairing their own bikes. Every single part of the bike is checked – from the bottom bracket to the tires. Bring your own bike!
