About the event
Summits are one-day gatherings where a diverse group of people come together to discuss the bigger picture, share insights, and challenge best practices. They are invitation-only and have limited seats, so you need to apply here to join the summit.
Design Anything – Make Everywhere
In an ever-changing world, innovations is not an option, it is necessity. Design and designer’s role are evolving and adapting to a new digitized world. We see a rise of a new kind of designer that challenges how goods are produced and how customers relate to their products.
The maker movement is a loose global movement of individuals who focus on making physical projects but with a digital layer and digital tools, often with collaborative processes and the sharing of the digital files or documentation.
Makers often meet and work in global networks and communities – such as fablabs, makerspaces and hackspaces that priovide access to a local and global community of likeminded actors and to several digital fabrication technologies able to manufacture more local, more flixible and more globally connected. We call the union of these trends Distributed Design
During this summit you will experience and learn about Distributed Design – and together we will open up a discussion on the future of production and consumption in a digital and globalized world.
