BACKGROUND

With the coming of a more digitized world the way we design, produce and buy products has changed. A global movement of locally based designers focused on responsible design, smart manufacturing and sustainable goods is emerging along with a new type of consumer wanting to connect with the products they own. This paves the way for distributed design.

We are calling out to European designers in the quest to promote #RESPONSIBLEdesign, manufacturing, and consumption, to showcase the biggest talent in the growing European community of responsible makers and designers.

Do you have a design that supports sustainable production, promotes awareness on responsible design and consumption? Is your design embodying circular or regenerative design practice or principles of distribution and open source?

We will select 10 projects to be promoted as visionary RESPONSIBLE design practice. The chosen designs will be promoted at Copenhagen Maker Festival in September 2019 and the designers offered a residency at Underbroen.
