Digital Textile Workshop

While 3D design is becoming industry standard in physical fashion, a new creative discipline emerges for virtual-only clothing. During this course, you will learn to use digital technologies whether you are making physical clothing, digital-only clothing, or a combination of those. We will discuss industry trends and future opportunities in the digital fashion market. During the workshops, you will create a physical dress using 3D real-time design and digital fabrication technologies (laser cutting, UV printing), while also rendering a digital-only twin of it. Utilizing augmented reality technologies you will create an animation layer on top of your physical clothing. All tech packed into one workflow and one dress by the end of the course!

• are interested in experimenting with technology, but you don’t know where to start.

• have no experience in the fashion/textile design field.
• want to learn design.
• if you don’t have basic skills in patternmaking & sewing
