Detailed Description
The idea of the project was born as an artistic respond to the world lockdown that happened in spring 2020 because of Covid-19.
On the one hand, QUARANTINE SURVIVAL KIT contains all the necessary items for the quarantine: mask, soap, toilet paper (the hit of consumer goods during the quarantine), gloves and antiseptic. On the other hand, it can become a gift set, as far as it is made as a game and after using the goods, the package can serve for playing. Besides, it is a humorous set, aiming to support not only physically but also mentally, kids and adults during this period. The main hero of the set is a sheep Shusha, which is staying on quarantine at home and is using the quarantine kit. She is cute and funny, and is a reminding us to use the products in order to stay safe and to take care of the health.

- Does your design take social and cultural challenges and human wellbeing into consideration?
Human well being is actually priority number one in this design proposal. Firstly, it provides health care supplying with the most necessary and requested items during the quarantine. Secondly, it intends to create an emotional positive impact on the user, supporting his psychological and mental health. Relaxing, playing, smiling and making fun - all this minimizes the stress level of people during the lock-down period.
- Does your design support sustainable production, embodying circular or regenerative design practices?
Th kit is made of the carton, so it is recyclable and ecologically safe. The products inside the kit are wrapped into the paper and raffia (which is a plant paper), thus bringing the use of plastic package to minimum. The only plastic item in the kit is a small bottle with antiseptic.
- Does your design use principles of distribution and open source?
The goal of this project is to improve the existing situation concerning many important issues, material and immaterial as well. Created as an experiment, it is aimed at the future development and customization.
- Does your design promote awareness of responsible design and consumption?
The Quarantine Survival Kit is a package design of prolonged use. Nowadays, when most of packages don't have any other function except of storage one, it is important to create multifunctional packaging. The following design proposal is an example of such packaging. After completing its functions as a storage item, it continues to be used as a table game.
