Detailed Description

Galileo is a directional led wall lamp. It is inspired by the Moon and its circular movement around the Earth, remembering how our economy should be today: CIRCULAR and no longer linear.
Galileo is a challenge that wants to demonstrate how plastic waste can turn into a precious material, contributing to the reduction of plastic waste and global pollution.
Galileo consists of three parts: the frame, made with the scraps deriving from the processing of steel; Black Dapple, the recycled plastic panel by Smile Plastic; led technology.

Project Details

Does your design take social and cultural challenges and human wellbeing into consideration?: The challenge of this project is to demonstrate how a recycled material can become truly precious. The use of recycled plastics in design it is a way to bring into our homes the awareness of the importance of proper recycling of plastic. This would greatly assist the rproblem of plastic waste.

Does your design support sustainable production, embodying circular or regenerative design practices?: using recycled materials:
the frame made with the scraps deriving from the processing of steel and the recycled plastic panel made from mixed waste packaging
