That effect on many people gets them into trouble with mental hearth and increases their anxiety.The most popular tip that people usually use is a “mood tracker” journal that helps people to record their daily mood by coloring notes. It's fun and helps people to understand themselves through emotion that happens every day. We are interested in this method and would like to redesign and bring the mood tracker to the new context.

"Emotion Collector" is a result of redesigning the mood tracker’s experience into the lifestyle product that gives the emotion learning experience by collecting the emotions data from the user in each moment. then the server will transfer the data and show the Average result by beam the color light, In which every emotion will be represented by different colors. So the light atmosphere in your room will change depending on your emotional data.

Does your design take social and cultural challenges and human wellbeing into consideration?

From this period, a lot of turbulence happens every day. That effect on many people gets them into trouble with mental hearth and increases their anxiety. The World Economic forum told us that “A 2020 survey reveals that more than a quarter of respondents were found to be at risk of clinical-level mental health problems. So when we made this project we had been focused on how to make Mental health wellbeing. We find new ways by putting emotion learning close into the human lifestyle. Make them feel familiar with this At the same time it can distribute well being to society. If you understand your feelings, you will understand other people too. Therefore it will make society have more empathy.

Does your design support sustainable production, embodying circular or regenerative design practices?

We Designed to support Customization. First, because we design it to make it look like a decoration lighting product, if users don't need to use a mood tracking function. They don’t need to leave because they can use it to be a lighting product and decorate their space. Second, in the future users can change the mode of tracking. Don’t have to track just emotion mode but we design to support another mode such as good relationship mode , healthy food mode, etc. Third, Because it is based on arduino production, if some part is broken, it can be replaced with a new part.They don’t have to buy a whole new product because just one part is broken.

Does your design use principles of distribution and open source?

Because this prototype we make by lasercut and 3D printing. So in the future the design can support mini production at fabrication service hab near your house. Like a franchise, users or buyers can buy products at fabrication services hubs around the world. It is an alternative distribution. No need to use a factory and don’t have to waste money with logistics costs.
