Lili Lamps by Allan Sejer Ertner

About the project

I am a Danish Designer who by accident discovered that teleportation now is a reality. Since then I have sought to introduce my finding to the world and help others reap the benefits of the technology.

Lili Lamps

3D Printed lamps delivered throug distributed design. The future of production incarnate.

I am on a mission to effectively save resources and lower emissions by helping small companies.

Vision

I have found a way to brighten the future. My vision is to democratize design by building a collaboration- and sales platform that offers a better “way to market” where significant investments from our clients are obsolete. And in doing so, make “selling products” as scalable as “selling software”!

The idea is to help designers create products that work with automated manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing. Then we will facilitate the sales and production of these products as a one-stop shop for both customers and designers.

As an Industrial Designer, I tested the process by developing a few lamp series and selling them through Etsy (see lililamps.com). I made sales on four continents without any advertising skills and found that production setup is easy – if you know what you are doing.

But it’s also for the sake of the environment. By always producing locally and to order we reduce transport and waste significantly. And by using only recyclable and biodegradable mono-materials we can take an important step away from oil-based products. And as 3d printers and printed products are becoming normal, it is also important to set the quality standard for the products high enough to defer the technology from becoming a source of overconsumption.

Design for all

We are giving everyone access to inspirational and personal designs by breaching the gap between idea and product. Through 3D printing, we have created a direct way from idea to market, allowing small designers, producers and marketers to build their dream. By allowing design for all, we provide our customers with a unique blend of upcoming products and ideas, creating space for exposing your design.

Sustainable for all

Lili Lamps is a new breed of super sustainable products, where every phase of its life is designed to be biofriendly. It is designed for production to order locally and save emissions and materials – even the hardware is bought locally. All materials can be repurposed several times. And when it is finally time to go, the plant-based materials will degrade in industrial compost.

Everything is shared fairly

At Lili Lamps, our goal is to assure sustainable and fair design worldwide by using modern technology. Just like the product is only made to order, everything surrounding it is kept simple and honest.By working directly with the manufacturer, we can achieve a healthy social standard that doesn’t depend on huge orders. With this concept, we can optimise all processes so those involved benefit most- this is social and local sustainability at its finest!

Borders do not exist

We believe that anyone can be part of our vision and journey, so we don’t limit ourselves to one border. By having a global social sustainable mindset, we can include anyone passionate about design, even if they live in Australia or Singapore.Without limiting ourselves to one supplier, designer, or market, we can effortlessly design and sell our and your products worldwide.
