Short Description

Coop constructed in golden ratio with hidden egg allegories concerning the universe and geometry.

Detailed Description

"Discovering the beauty of living with nature, that was so self-evident to generations before us, is the only future that can inspire us with optimism.

A wooden frame is constructed in golden section. Ladder mounted on a side of a frame leads to the henhouse - a cube with a side of one meter. Inside it there is a roosting bar and nests, where they lay eggs. For the owner, the nests are accessible from the back. A water container is also hidden inside the cube.

The perforations on the henhouse ceiling serve as ventilation and form a map of our galaxy, as many ancient religions believed the universe was created from an egg.
As the chickens graze, they can look at a golden egg with a quote in ancient greek “God always uses geometry”. Hopefully one day a hen will be inspired by it to start laying them on her own.

Both hen houses - a prototype, which is in use, and the final product on display, were made in a wood workshop of an Organisation for people with intellectual disabilities."

As the plans for the coop are relatively simple, it can be made in any wood shop. The coop, which I am submiting to you were made in a workshop of an organisation for people with intellectual disabilities.
